flickering cursor

Haven't played in a while but just started again. I'm playing the 1.5 version under windows vista and have noticed that the mouse cursor flickers annoyingly. I'm using a ATI Raedon x600

Try using hardware mouse cursor in the options.

Same issue.....

hardware mouse doesn't make any difference...

Graphic card is the Intel 900 GM type... new computer first time playing GC2 on it... all drivers etc, etc updated and refreashed... game reloaded.

p.s. it worked fine before I updated the game via stardock...

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. If this is a DA report, you'll find the debug in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar instead. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

"Debug Message: Running in windowed mode."

Have you also tried it in Fullscreen mode?

yep... no difference windowed or other... the flicker starts when the *.Bik movie runs...

the flicker is annoying but not crippling... one in game the flicker is there but you can work with it...

by way of details I installed the game some months ago and had 1.2.. I came back to it this morning wondering if I was going to get the expansion and everything worked fine... I ran the updater and the problem appeared... I reloaded and the problem was still there... something added between 1.2 and 1.5 changed...

good luck...
