"Detail Animations Zoom Level" Option - What does it do?

So I just downloaded Dark Avatar, and I was wonderin, what does the new "Detail Animations Zoom Level" option do?

Maybe it's always been there and I just never noticed it, but the question still stands.

Thanks!

If you set it all the way left then the animations (like the ships bobbing) will only be evident when your at max zoom in. For better machines (hehe like mine) I can have it all the way to the right (100) and the animations will be evident zoomed way out - though it's you have to be looking for it. I think it's a good option to turn down if a person has a slower video card and doesn't want to sacrifice visuals. Hopefully someone else will pop in and say what other animations are affected.

One more animation efffected by this slider is the ships in orbit around a planet display. If you set the slider more to the right the orbiting ships are visable without having to zoom in on the planet.

I have a new dual core machine and as of yet havent found anything that needs the bar set more than half way. If there are more things the i havent discovered that do require it set more to the right then i am happy to move it, but at present half way seems a good point.
