After searching... where to start?

I have Windows Vista Ultimate and some of these desktops look fuggin awesome. So much stuff though it's all very confusing. Where's a good thread for noobies on how to make some of these themes to work? Are they seamless, like everything still works somewhat the same? Any help would be appreciatted.

Well, currently you might run into some issues in terms of getting it all to run smoothly on Vista.  A good place to start might be to try applying some WindowBlinds themes, for which you'll need to download the trial of WindowBlinds (which I think works on Vista,not sure on that).  Then head over to the WindowBlinds gallery here on WinCustomize and download a few.

After WindowBlinds, you might consider another fairly simple program:  IconPackager.  We have a gallery for that here as well.

not sure the trial WB is vista able

i thought i read it would be 5.5 for vista (which for some is the current beta)
