Weather docklet fails to update on boot because net not available yet

Because my wireless network connects after ObjDock launches, the weather docklet fails to update weather information. Requires manual update. Is this a bug? I see no option to change the update frequency or select an option to wait for network availability.

Sorry, I agree with T. OD+ on a MacMini running XP does not display the Weather Docklet temp after boot for at least 10 mins+ unless you click on update. Network connectivity on the Mini running XP always seems to be the last thing established.

I wouldn't have normally chimed in but "I am PC and could care less about your Mac" needs to stop. We are here and on the SD forum perhaps not so in the minority.

So go find another weather docklet off the Wincustomize website (there'll be quite a few) and gof or it...

What the problem with this suggestion? They're all free. You'll almost certainly find one made using the SysStats docklet support in which case you'll virtually guarantee being able to change the update interval - every second if you want!

Find another docklet and move on - it's not rocket science!

There all free and all have the same problem. This is a problem in OD. If the Docklet (OD) cannot reach the internet when it launches it goes to sleep for 10-20 mins before it retries. Comprende?

I have to disagree as I just booted into my Mini and the weather updated just fine. I run every Stardock program on my Mac Mini as well and never had any kind of a problem.

Comprende??

Sorry, not in my (and others in this thread, apparently) experience... I have 3 (of 6 total) docklets that access not only the internet but the WMI interface for network adapters directly & as I said my machine often takes up to 2 min for the NIC adapter(s) to even show up in the system tray (some kind of domain/workgroup login problem) and the (all SysStats) docklets respond immediately there's a pipe available.

Anyone, show us all as a premier SD OD "docklitier" developer (and oh please paste the source code here) where you can create a docklet that #1 can set a timer to poll the internet for an update #2 make a docklet aware that the internet is now available to poll for update.
