Windows XP Primary to Vista Secondary - 4th Mouse Button Doesn't Work

When I connect an XP primary to XP secondary, my 4th mouse button works just fine - This is the button that you usually use for "Back" in the web browser or explorer.

When I connect the same XP primary to the same computer running Vista as secondary, the 4th mouse button doesn't work, so I can't use it for "Back" in my browser... kinda annoying.

I'm running the latest build of multiplicity.

This product is absolutely wonderful. I'm thrilled to have found it.

Lucky you that you even had it working in XP. Mine has never worked in XP or Vista or various combinations of the two. I setup the same mouse driver on each, at this time the Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000, and have never been able to have my back and forward buttons work nor does setting the scroll button to a special function in the Microsoft driver work. I also tried the trick of setting those mouse buttons to keyboard key combos of alt+Left and alt+Right, which has worked for some people, but not for me. It is really a pain to not have the same mouse functionality on both PCs. They don't seem to care though, Stardock has the extra mouse buttons turned-off because some people had problems when different mouse drivers were installed on each PC. I say that's stupid. Anyone using Multiplicity is not a noob and would know how to set the same drivers on both PCs. I really wish this were considered a high priority for Stardock but it seems further development on Multiplicity, like full Vista support, is not on their roadmap at all. Although maybe one of their moderators can correct me on that if I'm wrong.

USERS: If you want 4th and 5th moust button functionality and button scroll button functionality with Multiplicity, please reply to this post with a "me 2" or whatever and let's show how much we want this.

STARDOCK: Give us some idea of the roadmap for future development on Multiplicity and let us tell you want we really need.

What do you mean by full Vista support?

Multiplicity works on Vista and has done for going on a year now.

@Neil Banfield:

I was hoping for an actual support response. Somehow this doesn't feel like one.

@KripaluDas:
I had to plug a 5 button mouse into the secondary computer in order to get the extra mouse buttons to work across both computers. I loaded intellipoint on both computers, and everything started working just fine... with XP primary and secondary.

I'm still having the problem in Vista, without any resolution so far. I haven't tried using Vista as the primary.
