Can't update to .059

I have the retail version 1.50. Stardock Central shows it installed, and shows version .059 available, along with the update button. One of two things happens when I click on the upgrade button;

1. It will show "Waiting", count down from 3 several times, and finally show an exception error.

2. Sometimes, it will take me right to the purchase screen, which is obviously redundant.

What versions, exactly, do you have installed now (for both GC2 and DA)?

Stardock Central shows 1.50.090 for Gal Civ II and 1.50 for DA. Gal Civ II was purchased directly from Stardock, DA is from the Gold pack purchased at Best Buy.

Have you tried to register your Gold serial for DA in SDC?

If you have and were unable to, some users have been having issues with the Gold serials. Since you've already got the retail DA though, I wouldn't sweat it for now. The .59 update is largely just a couple of non-gameplay tweaks and a fix for an issue that was making the launcher not work properly on non-english versions of windows.

I did have trouble registering, though I though it had finally gone through. When I try re-registering, it says the serial number is invalid. I'll wait until I see more info on the registration problems.

I'm also unable to update DA, it's as if SDC is unable to connect to the server, it tries 3 times and then just times out and says can't install. Everything else has updated flawlessly, however.

When this happens it should give you an option to see more info about the problem; do this and send that info to support@stardock.com, along with a note that you were trying to update DA.

I will do just that, I'll make another post when I get a reply, hopefully with an easy enough fix.

I had the same problem but found a work around,
*After registering and did email check
*I was able to upgrade everything but Dread Lords which would take me right to the purchase screen
*restarted my computer
*Used update button on start menu - 3rd button down, and it updated the Dread Lords to newest ver.
