Custom Races Created in Dark Avatar

With the arrival of Dark Avatar, we now have the ability to create custom races in the game. So my question is, instead of replacing races in the RaceConfig.xml file like we had to do with Dread Lords, can we include these custom race files with our mods? Of course, instructions on where to place them would need to be included for them to work.

I ask because several months back I was working on a Transformers mod, however, I never managed to complete it (Drengin created a TF mod as well.) The custom race option in Dark Avatar opens a whole new window for a Transformers mod and the new super abilities also brings more to the table.

So is it possible for me to create a custom race, put it in a mod and someone else can use that custom race, providing they have the correct images and place it in the correct folder? The answer is probably yes but I would like to know for sure.

I intend to get working on a DA version of my Transformers mod. I don't know when I'll be able to release a beta for it but the many new features in DA has me excited.

Ok so I don´t wanted to open up a new Thread and thought to put my Question in here...

I know I can make Custom Races in DA and also figure out how to use them in the Mod...but theres a last Thing, I have to sort out...How can I replace the original Races in DA, with my Custom ones ?...

I primarly did the same as in DL...just replacing the Races in RaceConfig.XML...but whenever I choose a Race ingame, and press the Continue Button...it sets me back to the "Custom Race Build Window"...Is this normal ?...can I come around this "Bug", by creating my Custom Race Ingame and then use the Code to replace it in RaceConfig.Xml ?

Please someone help me...its again a Major drawback for my Modification, if this isn´t working at all...if someone of the GC Staff descripes me to do, i´m willing to create a Tutorial, like the ones made for DL...THX GC

The game always gives you the option to customize the race you choose, regardless which one you play as.

If you want to replace the core races with ones made via the 'custom race' race, you need to manually change the RaceID in their file from 12 to the appropriate number for the race youre replacing.
