SDMCP developers look here

A really cool, pretty new app called PortableApps Menu seems to have a problem working from sdmcp systrays. The developer of PAM is checking into a workaround for the problem, but I wanted to see if anyone here could help. Here is a link to the thread detailing the problem. http://portableapps.com/node/3783#comment-23151

On a side note my sdmcp doesn't display anything. I can't get a systray to display in any ObjectDesktop program.

emailing support@stardock.com is the best way of communicating this type of situation.  Give that a try too.

Hi dragonmage, fyi SDMCP is going byebye in the not so distant future. The tray handling has been completly rewritten to not use a separate exe, and so that it can hook in and look at current icons so that it never misses any.

Hopefully this helps work around the issue that they're seeing with the program. And hopefully also the PAM developer will fix their stuff too so its not doing anything funny if it is, and everything will be good

See Jeff . . you respond after I hint that you won't.  That's no way to train users!

heheh

Thanks for the prompt reply. I had hoped the tray handling was going to be rewritten soon. I hope it's backward compatible with the various existing DX, OB, etc, trays.

I'll let the people over at PAM forums know the news.
