Reinstall Question

To whom it may concern:

I purchased WindowBlinds, IconPackager, CursorXP, and many others about a year and a half ago.

I recently formated my harddrives and would like to reinstall the 3 above mentioned products.

My problem is: it seems like I only have access to the trial versions of these products.

Because it has been over a year, is StarDock requiring me to repurchase the software suite AGAIN?

(Ps: I have the original products and themes backed up on a external harddrive...)

Have you been to the Stardock Support page?

The first thing you see is:

Need your serial number,or the latest enhanced build, or your Stardock.net Login?
Enter the email address you ordered under originally, or you created your Stardock.net account with, to receive an email with the serial numbers and download links for the Stardock products you have previously ordered.

If your email address has changed, please contact sales@stardock.com with your old and new contact info to have your record updated.

Have you been to the Stardock Support page?

Yes.

I have my serial number from the purchase. I have my account screen name with password. After signing in, I can only download demo versions.

I download, install, and run StarDock Central. It only allows me to download demos.

I visit the respective site for each product. Only demos can be downloaded without RE-purchasing the products.

Any help with reinstalling my full registered versions is greatly appreciated.

The return email didn't come with download links as stated on that page?

You didn't use SDC prior the reformatting to archive copies for later?

Yes, but there are only links to download StarDock Central. StarDock Central only allows me to download demos of the software I purchased and have serial numbers for.

Yes, I did. But service does not download an executable file for installing these programs. Instead, it automatically updates the software. Therefore, I do not have a standalone .exe file to install any of the desired programs.

SDC will restore the archives

As Bichur has said, your subscription is not current that is why you cannot download from Stardock Central.  If you have the archives of the applications then you should be able to restore them through Stardock Central.

So it costs $50+ a year to have StarDock products on 1 pc? That is a load of BS.

No wonder other modding sites talk endless amounts of $hit about StarDock.

Guess I'll just have to get a never ending trial version from torrents.

Don't come crawling back here when your pc explodes then.

That is not what was said.

You get a full years worth of updates to the Object Desktop suite which is yours to keep forever. You should (as with any software) archive your Stardock applications through Stardock Central.

You should contact support@stardock.com so that they can sort out which version of the programs you have purchased and they will take care of this issue for you.

That is not a good idea and I'm sure after you have your present issue taken care of will change your mind.
