And yes you can absolutely use OD with Windowblinds, I do.

In OD+ there is a setting on the Effects tab called "represent minimized windows by their screenshots"

It's there in the effects tab and I had it checked, but I'm not seeing any minimized window screenshots in my dock. *shrug*

DesktopX is amazing; it can customize so much.  It does take some time though because it can do so much.

There are two major aspects of DX, desktop themes that replace your whole interface and objects/widgets/gadgtets.
These are what you see most of.  They are mini-apps that perform a single task (usually).

Take a look at the DX libraries at Wincustomize and see what you like.  You can always download the trial from the link at the top of the page.

how do you have the minimised windows show up on your dock.

Everyone covered the windows SS's, but I read this as you wanting to have a taskbar on your dock so you can pull up minimized windows.

If so, you'll need to right-click the dock > select Dock Settings > then Dock Contents > now check the option to "show running tasks on the dock". That should do it.
