WB 5.5 and Office 2007 for XP (not Vista)

I am running XP...not Vista...but I also have Office 2007 (which uses its own skinning which cannot be changed).

Is WB 5.5 suppose to skin Office 2007 apps? I am running the WB beta (5.5) but I still cannot skin Office 07.

Are there plans for this for those of us who will not jump to Vista right away???

Thanks,
Ken

The main dialog in Office 2007 will not be skinned when on XP.  This is unlikely to change as the app is custom drawing its own frame.

When on Vista it will be skinned due to differences on how Office 2007 works on that OS.

Guess that means I need to upgrade to Vista if I want my Windowblinds.

I am not too sure when I can do that...I live in Russia...all of their software here is pirated....I will try to find a English good copy. Do you know of a place to download it? Or will that be too big?

You'll have to purchase Vista if you want to upgrade. Pirating isn't supported here.

Microsoft is doing Windows Marketplace for certain programs. At the moment, you can download a legit copy of Vista Upgrade from places like Circuit City (a US based store). If you have a credit card, I'm sure you can go online and buy it that way. Then download it and use it. Vista is one of the first MS based OSs to be offered in such a way. I'm surprised some of the know-it-alls on this forum didn't point this out. Maybe they don't "know it all".

Anyway, here's a link to the Microsoft Marketplace where you can purchase the downloadable copies of Vista. Go to the bottom of the page and click on BUY NOW. It will take you to a Marketplace page that alows you to use a Digital Locker Download. Keep in mind that you'll be buying this from a US based online store so a CC will be needed and whatnot. The CC company will sort out the currency difference between your money and the US dollar values. I hope this will work for you.
