Widgets don't see DesktopX

Hi,
I'm using DesktopX 3.20.044 and wanted to run some of the widgets
that come with the product, but each time I run one of them, it says
"DesktopX doesn not seem to be installed on the current machine" and
fails to run.
I'm running DesktopX though. Any clue on how to fix this?

Thanks for any help.

where did you install it to?

I installed it in its default directory:
c:\program files\stardock\object desktop\desktopx

But I see that if I use DesktopX menu to "load widgets", it works perfectly.
The problem is when launching the exe from the command shell, even if
DesktopX is running. Looks like the way to go is through the menu.

But Widgets don't even require desktopX to be running in order for them to work. They only use the runtime from the program. You should be able to just open the widget folder and click on any widget to run.
