Beta 2 - Battle of the Gods

Does not come up with all techs enabled. It looks like the new techs were not enabled.

At this point, i beleive Battle of the Gods is just a port from GC2, meaning it's received no attention to bring it up to DA standards. It's there now b/c B2 has scenerios enabled now. I'm sure it will be fixed at some point.

Devs can correct me if i'm wrong.

Not a good scinario anyway. Firepower is so high that any old crappy AI ship can take down your best and brightest, one for one regardless of fleet sieze.

In other words, you can have a full fleet of 10 dreadnaughts with staggering combined defences and firepower, and its all for nothing! one lone AI cruser will still take you one for one, it is sickening.

Actually at this point it is reading the scenarios directly from GC2's scenario folder AFAIK. DA doesn't actually have any of its own yet (not even exact copies of GC2's).

BoG might not be much fun for regular play, but I found a couple of runs through the scenario very educational in terms of learning about GCII techs.

I hadn't thought about it until I read this post, but now I'm hoping we'll see updated scenarios in the next beta release.

If BoG makes it into DA, I'm curious about how the new environment techs will affect BoG's colony rush. At the very least, I imagine it will be back to a single, fierce rush rather than the colonization pulses that seem to be shaping up in vanilla DA.
