Disable WB 5.1 Sounds

I like to know where the hell it's at too. Good job of moving it and hiding it!

An indexed help in WB would prove useful here.

In SkinStudio open up the skin and in the Left hand window choose "Window Borders-click on Titlebar Buttons - Free form" Then in the Right hand window you will see a section to turn off sounds for the buttons. Another way to turn off all sounds is to open up Control Panel and click on the Sounds and Audio Devices under the Sounds Tab you can change the sounds or turn them off individually or all of them at once. So this option is left out for a reason? Or somebody forgot to assign a radio button to the function?

Hope it comes back and maybe it is indeed a good idea to give WB some online help functionality?

I just installed b.025 and the option is back in override defaults but if I untick this and apply it doesn't stick anyway! This peaves me, I never use sound schemes..

Oh, btw I already have no sounds selected in the control panel and that doesn't work.

I have build 5.1 81 x86 and the option to apply the "Use skin sounds if any" is still under basic settings then Enhance Desktop Elements. Just un check it.

clwoods you're using an older build, it doesn't pertain to this..

Hi gtrz, the title itself says it is the 5.1 81 x86 version, so is the author wrong about his version? I also just checked through SDC and I have the latest version so you must be talking about a beta version? I do not use the beta versions. If that is the case, I suggest he go back to the latest released version which is the one he stated in his title is messed up. It has the sound option as I said. The beta version will probably have the option back when it is released.

I can't uncheck the "replace user icon with skin supplied one" option, no matter now many times I click on it, it won't uncheck.

My fonts are fine, haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. *shrug*

Hi! My problem is that even if I uncheck the option in WB "use skin sounds (if any)", the sounds keep working, and the option is still checked next time I open WB. I have WB 5.5 enhanced, on XP Pro. I tried sounds off in windows as well, and if I delete the sounds in the theme, the theme doesnt load right (I did that by changing the *.wba extension of the skin to zip, then deleting the wav files.) I'd like the sounds off in the themes, any wonder working solution?

asterix707 - Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on View my system information.  Copy/paste that info here.
