Resubscribe

Ok heres my problem
I paid for Object Desktop last year
had a few problems with PC - and had to reformat HDD
my subscription has expired .....

I was under the impression that the versions of the stardock products I had i owned until the next number release
Now when trying to reinstall it all
Im told i have to Demo Windowblinds 5
i know i downloaded 5. something or other
so until its a 6. something or other i should still be able to download the full version 5 which i had before and paid for

can someone please help
Im sure you dont have to buy the thing every year your subscription runs out

thanks

Go to the support site and enter your e-mail address.  You will receive an e-mail with your registration numbers, and links to programs if applicable.

https://www.stardock.com/support/

Download Stardock Central, enter your registrations and you should have access to your programs from there.

Once you have it installed via SDC, use SDC to make an archive copy and save that somewhere

On the advice given - i have installed Stardock Central and the option i get is to install windowblinds public demo

the issue is i have paid for version 5
i would like the full download i paid for
i dont want a public demo or at the moment pay for the next version
I bought object desktop last year so surely i should still have a link for the version of windowblinds that came with it

Im dismayed at the thought i have to download a public version available to everyone that hasnt bought the software

thanks again Rob

This is with your ODNT serial entered and registered?
If yes, then original serial or serial received after entering email on support page?

Hi Bichur

yes theyve sent me my serial numbers
and nowhere within can i find my Windowblinds code or a download path to download what i already paid for

says my subscription has expired - which i accept it has
but surely i can use the windowblinds ive paid for

was the serial for ODNT or WB?

tools - register - I'm guessing it's at that point it says expired.

no download link in the email?

could have sworn I saw more than one post by Brad saying we would have access to what we had purchased - it may have mentioned for up to a year or so after expiration, not sure

try a help ticket - let them know your hd crashed and you're just trying to get back what you paid for.

after you put in the serial - make sure 'show pre release' is unchecked.

close SDC, then open it again and see if anything shows (gotta be connected)

: The cause for your problem is that your Object Desktop subscription has expired. When your subscription expires, you're able to obtain the latest archive of the software when your subscription was still active. This can be requested either from support@stardock.com or sales@stardock.com.

I've sent you an email with a link to the latest archive when your subscription was valid as well as instructions for getting that archive loaded up.

You should be all set at this point.

It is worth noting here that once you buy the digital version of the app it is your responsibility to archive it in case of expiration. Thankfully, SDC allows for that.

Otherwise, it would be cool if SDC presented the user with the most recent registered copy.

Yay Mike!

RobztaUK - once you're loaded up - head over to the WinCustomize 'Site' tab - find Corky_O's page - he's got a tutorial on archiving with SDC - so you can archive everthing after loaded, save them to disk and if need be use SDC to restore again (like after a reformat)

Yes it would indeed - even if only for 12-18 months after expiration - maybe even a popup warning after expiration suggesting you back up your product(s) {with instructions}

: Glad to hear things are working

I agree some kind of notification would help. Or even if including a note to back up your software when the mail reminding you that your subscription will expire goes out.

Including something to download applications based on the subscription enddate might take more time to implement (securities, etc), but would definitely be more preferable.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll pass them along.
