Where is my BOOTSCREEN???

Hi There

I am fairly new to bootskin. I have read a tutorial & managed to create a bootscreen...just "1"...thats my problem!! I am following all the procedures but when I import the file...even though it says "bootscreen imported successfully", & the file appears in C:program files/stardock/wincustomise/bootscin/skins...It does not appear in the drop down list of bootskin!!!

Does any1 have a solution to this??

What does your "bootskin.ini" look like?

You might have forgot the quotations, or labeled an image wrong?

Have you tried to load other bootskins downloaded from WinCustomize? Do they work?

Try this and see if it shows up. Test Bootskin <----- shameless promotion!

Hi KiloKrash

Thanks 4 the reply. This is the script i've been using:

[BootSkin]
Type=0
Name = "filename"
Author = "Your Name"
Description = "none"
ProgressBar=progress.bmp
ProgressBarX = 210
ProgressBarY = 80
ProgressBarWidth = 220
Screen=filename.bmp

Downloaded bootscreens have worked!!!

Errors that will not allow skin to show in list in Bootskin, screen image size wrong, must be 640x480, screen image wrong color depth, must be 16 color 4 bit bitmap, screen image name different than what it is called in the .ini.
