Skin does not show up...

Using trail 5.1

hi

i am using the trial 5.1 right now, but skins do not show up.

my specs are

AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+@5000+, 3GB Ram, MSI 7900GTO@GTX, Chipset Nvidia570

(system is rockstable on both cpu cores for 6 hours, OC shouldnt be the problem, default settings didnt change anything)

system is fresh....

i reinstalled my image with all windows updates, sp1+2, officexp, some tools, actual drivers for chipset, gpu, cpu and so on....

language in ui-settings is already set to german...so this is not the problem...

If this is first time installed ever, I would suggest it may have been a corrupt download or a bad install. If trial has been installed before, a fresh system install will not give another 60 days of trial time.

it was installed several times. no corupt download or bad install

it is not the question whether or not, BUT of course setting up the system new (or installing an image from a fresh install, e.g. acronis true image) will give you another 60 days...because the system-partition will be completely wiped before..

but i did not install the image to get another 60 days...it was just to make clear, that my system is fresh and that there no 1000 tools parallel...or that my registry is blown up...

I seem to be having the same problem with wb. Mine is purchased, so I doubt it has anything to do with his being a trial.

open WB configuration, click 'system information' and copy/paste to here all the info that shows up

It seems to me as well that whenever I download a skin I have to click the "Rebuild List" in order for a skin to show up in the list. Try that.

You have many mixed versions and some files that aren't recognized at all.

Uninstall everything. Purchase the product if you haven't. Use Stardock Central to download the product and THEN run it.

dusoXR: how did you obtain Windowblinds? via download or CD?

assassino4: use SDC to uninstall Windowblinds> reboot> open SDC> choose Object Desktop> check "Show Pre-Release Versions" at bottom of page> install version 5.49e.026> REBOOT!

Thanks Web. That's good advice. The skins not showing up after downloading happens to me everytime and seems with most of the versions.
