Missing Races

I was looking at the dev jounal on DA, and I noticed on the Race Selection screen that some races were'nt there. Namely, the Areceans and Humans. why aren'y they there? DA is a sequel, (of sorts) but why would the story line in the campaign affect the sandbox games?

The Arceans are there on the screenshot in Brad's last journal. The humans are missing because hes playing as them.

Hmm, I always thought the Arceans look kinda cool. Much better than the Thalans and Korx anyway.

PS Don't you think that the Arcean leader looks a bit like Vin Diesel?

p.s. Evil Muppet, do the carny folk appear in any League of Gentlemen stuff after series 2? I'm one of those yanks who used to be able to quote scarily long parts of the Python Holy Grail, and I'll be slapped with a rather large fish if I don't think the League lads might be the strongest followthrough to Gilliam et al that I've yet seen.
