Problem downloading 1.49a[b].005

I've been trying to download the new beta, 1.49a[b].005, but I've got a problem I haven't seen before: When I hit install, it shows that it's downloading, even shows the transfer speed and % completed. The trouble is that when it reaches 100%, the process begins again. And again, etc. The only thing I can think of is that I bought ObjectDock Plus -- does this beta apply only to the free version?
Thanks

Try selecting a different server in SDC...tools > Settings > Internet > Server drop down menu.

Thanks KiloKrash. I tried that a few time with no luck. Another clue (which I can't decipher): I had no problems downloading an update to Multiplicity during the same session.

I have got the same problem! i also tried the work around by changing the server but to no avail, i have never had this problem before so it must be a problem with the server that the program is on!

Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp and delete everything.
Try downloading again.

If ti still fails, go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\Installed and post the end of odp.log . .. the part that looks like a failure.

Hi all,

I am in the same boat - have tried every server that has been available over the last 12 hours (6 total) with no joy. Have also tried clearing temp folder with no luck, either. odp.log indicates that there is a mismatch in the installer's file size:

-- [Installation] ---------------------------------------------------
Download: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\data\public\odp\beta\odp.xml 1
Load: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\data\public\odp\beta\odp.xml 1
Download: C:\DOCUME~1\USER~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\sdcentral\odp.sdc 0 | File Size Incorrect | 11428594 11391427
Result: Installation cancelled

If you have Norton Personal Firewall installed, try turning that off until the download completes.

Same trouble for me, whatever server, it's downloading and downloading and downloading (i don't try an install, but just want to download and archive ...)

N.B: i've also tried it by uninstalling previous version of OD, cleaned up the C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp (which for me is in E:\Stardock\SDCentral\temp ), here's the odp.log remaining ...

Nope. Tried it again with your recommendations and still no-go. Has ANYONE been able to download this version since Nov 11th?

To me, this indicates either an incorrect file available or a conflict in the xml file that references it. The issue is at Stardock..

Okay, I just tried it from my work pc and got the same result. This is 100% an issue with Stardock. Would someone be so kind as to look at the issue.

dnadig ... if youre' using Stardock Central, uncheck the "Show pre-release versions", and you'll be able to download, and use the 1.30.22 version until they get this sorted.

I had this problem, too, and I was going nuts. I figured out how to install it, though. Uncheck the option to install beta/prerelease crap and install 1.3 (Thx Koasati). Then recheck it and upgrade it to the beta. It will only grab the files it needs, and not download odp.sdc.

I must say, the response time of acknowledgement of the issue was outstanding. The actual solution to the problem is less than desirable however. Yes, one could perform the steps listed in #16 but that's really not a fix.

Why the delay?

Oh that's it.. go ahead and fix it by releasing 1.5 just minutes after I make my post... very nice... poke the stick at Phoon, he won't mind, he likes it...
