Can i make my comp recognize the bounds of the dock?

I have my dock on the top and centered with no icons on my desktop. The problem being that whenever i place something on my desktop, it goes in the top left corner and is obscured by the dock. Also,is there anyway i can make it so when maximizing windows, it doesn't overlap the dock, and no i dont want to set my dock on top of all windows and have overlapping.

free or plus?

only way I found on the free to reserve space is to put your taskbar up there, keep it on top, use OD to hide it

i have the taskbar on the bottom

i can seem to get the dock to stretch the legth of the screen either

If this is a normal zoomer dock, I think I saw that in 2.0, reserve screen edge will be added for zoomer docks. As for stretching the dock, if a zoomer the icon size setting will make dock biiger both ways, also the more icons the wider the dock.
You can limit the size of maxed windows with WindowFX and DesktopX.
If you have Plus and this is a tabbed dock OD 1.3 has reserve screen edge for tabbed docks.
