WIll WindowFX work ok with AlienGUIse??

Hey all, I'm currently using AlienGUIse on my alienware laptop. I wanted to know if the latest version of windowfx will work with it, and not conflict with it.

PS I heard that windowfx makes your icons on the desktop larger, so do I really need the Iconx program???

Thanks, your input is appreciated.

You shouldn't have any problems running WindowsFX and Windowblinds together.

Just remember that both utilize the video card (Windowblinds runs completely off of it). The more special effects you have turned on in WindowsFX, the more lag you will see.

Well, that depends on what you would like to do with your icons. I believe WindowsFX only increases the icons to 48 x 48 pixels. IconX goes way, way, way beyond increasing your Desktop icons to 48 x 48. Personally, I wouldn't use WindowsFX for icon increase, I would use IconX. IconX gives you complete control over customization of the icons.

I would contact support@stardock.com if you are having technical difficulties. They're support is outstanding, just give them a couple days to respond. I highly adivse this because your problem might be one they're not aware of.

This is really a communtity focused forum. For official Stardock Support you will need to contatct them directly. support@stardock.com Give them a couple days to respond, keeping in mind they don't work on the Weekends.

Although, you could bump it a couple more times to see if a Stardock employee will see the Post.
