Displaying Horizontal instead of vertical

I've never had this happen before but Rightclick crashed. Then when I re-loaded it, it came up empty. When I tried to add new items to make it like it was before, it loaded everything in horizontally instead of vertically, giving me this big long line across the screen from left to right instead of top to bottom. Any idea how that happened or how I could fix it?
Thanks.

I'm getting this also. It's on version 1.20, build 739. Only has a Horizontal display now. Plus any changes I save are lost on reboot.

Did SD respond to this? Mine has started showing the same symptoms. Unintall/reinstall hasn't fixed it.

Can anyone (or preferably SD) react to this thread and give the solution? I also am faced with this issue for a couple of weeks and unable to correct this. For some reason reinstalling is not the solution.

I haven't used right click - does it have a cache that may need clearing?

Although I havent experienced the horizontal problem they are describing - its definatly an oddity. I have had certain WB skins cause strange events with Rightclick. Even if you delete the WB and reinstall it, its best to go into RightClick folder >
WBSkinImport >SkinRepository. Then delete the contents of skinrepository. That has cleared up issues for me when Object bar refused to import.

Was worth a shot Liquid - it works for some problems but this horizontal thing is plain weird. I know you said you tried uninstalling /reinstalling..a while back I recall a link to a tool to removal of Stardock programs..perhaps Bichur might recall the link..I used to have it but FF crashed and lost my links back then.. This "tool" removed all traces of uninstalled Stardock programs so you could reinstall them....I really don't know if this would help you or not.

I would be lost without my ' Rightclick' program and its a program I wish stardock would go a bit further with ...like make it possible to create transparent menus etc. The built in transparency slider is ok but it also makes text transparent...

Im sure there are more out there that have had this horizontal problem but just gave up on it.

Thanks very much for the suggestions and links, but, alas, no change. after downloading the odnt zapper, running it, un-installing rightclick, then re-installing, still no luck..i still get the horizontal thing happening...

RightClick seems to be closely associated with Objectbar, which has horizontal menus, if you do have OB installed you may want to uninstall that too.

Glad to hear your good to go again. Its very hard to maneuver about without RightClick program once you've been using it for awhile. I have used it since it came out and had it crash twice in the early stages. No problem in way over a year though..

Hopefully Stardock will still continue to develop this program.

turned on my laptop this morning, and the same problem...

tried everything to uninstall, but no luck so far, and quite frankly i'm now bored of rebooting my computer...will try later

@jellybean - where did you go, and any news...even that you've looked into and can't re-produce would be something..

does anyone have any idea on how to really un-install rightclick?

thanks

Hey guys one thing I do that has seemed to help is using a file registry maintenance tool after de-installing followed with rebooting. De-installing software can leave entries in the file registry that need to be cleaned out before re-installing will work. Don't know if this will help but, its the method I've used and my system stays fairly stable. One tool is Tuneup Utilities(I use this) and another one I've heard of is ccleaner. You might want to try this.

thanks BigDogBigFeet....i ran CCleaner, it found a couple of Rightclick entries, which it deleted and it seems to have got it un-installed, and when i re-installed was back to normal...

thanks very much for the suggestion

Point of clarification - I think you should uninstall the applications in the "normal" way first, then run the ODNT Zapper utility to clean up any remains, not the other way round. It's supposed to take care of those dangling reg entries, I believe, but running something like CCleaner is a good idea afterward, too, before doing a re-install.

the trouble is that if you un-install first, then rightclick does not show up with the odnt zapper...it only shows installed programs....
