Pink Bits

Hi,

Hope Someone can help me with my problem I have with WB5.1.
The "Minimise", "Restore" and "Close" buttons at the top right of every window
have a pink background. I know this shouldn't be. Can anyone help me out?

So far it's just the new Vista Plus v2 skin which is a recent skin.

Could it be the skin, even though it's a pretty new one?

Your files are mixed.

Did you uninstall the trial and reboot prior to installing the paid?

Yes. It's been unistalled for ages and I just decided to install it again, so yeah, it's a fresh new install (Paid for).

Those bespeak 'trial'.

Did you download and install as a stand a lone via normal browser or did you download and install via SDC (Stardock Central Browser(downloader/installer/updater/)?

I downloaded from the link that was in the e-mail they sent when I registered.

get Stardock Central - register WB in it and use it to download/install the most current.

all your files (except the 2 I mentioned are for 5.1.009 release.

The 2 I mentioned should show as:

Wbload.exe 2006/03/13 17:54:14
Tray.dll 2006/04/13 17:29:23

If they don't after using SDC, I suggest an uninstall, reboot and retry via SDC.

you might also look into updating your drivers if you haven't already

Tried that. Uninstalled WB, downloaded SDC and re-installed WB direct from SDC.

Same as you mentioned. It must be the skin because it still happens. I really like the skin too but just that tiny bit of pink is so annoying.

Is it just that skin? or a few skins?
Are they older skins?

I get the pink when using the Frogboy skin and every once in a while using Skin X.

you may be able to adjust it in skin studio or possible rework the graphic for that part.

As far as I'm aware it's just that skin, Vista Plus v2. It's a new skin - one of the newest most recent (featured skin on SD website). Shame really 'cos it's a brilliant skin. I'm using Noire at the moment.

In the 'system info' page - does checking either or both of the 'try this if you have problems' buttons help?

I downloaded skin studio to try to edit the skin. It is possible. You can actually see where the pink bits are around the buttons, but I've got absolutely no idea about that kind of stuff.
