The reason I ask is that I've made a starting ship that is loaded with sensors, a cargo size, then buy about 5 and search out a newly started game for what the surrounding area looks like, and the settings for a new game for the number of stars, planets and habitals are really inconsistant with the settings. I set habitals to abundant but stars and planets to rare so that the few stars available and the few planets around them will all be habital, then try the reverse so that there are abundant stars and planets but habitals rare and it is very far from accurate in doing this consistantly, not to mention the inconsistant number of resources and their placement.
Some maps put every resource in short reach of enemies but none near my homeworld, same with habitals. Very inconsistant and would like to edit this somewhat, somehow...
