Snapping windows and flicker over movies.

Hello. i've been using windows blinds off and on for a couple of years now, but only recently was satisfied enough to keep it. I have afew quick questions. and a couple of things to complain about. First the complaining. I cant do a search on the forum without first registering and logging in (which i find to be very annoying and pointless to a forum of this type for program help). I didn't try the advanced search so ignore this if using it is possible without logging in. also typing in a search and pressing enter tells me i have to provid an email address first, which is weird, anyway.

Now for my questions, First. I've been using a program called allsnap for along time to make windows snap and dock to eachother and screen boarders. All windows, any window, etc etc. With the theme I'm using for windows blinds this does not work(it does, but ony for subwindows that get a basic theme, mdi windows etc etc). Anyone know of something that can allow me to make the window blinds tranprent boarder (vista) themes snap together? and second, while playing a movie the transparent parts of a window flicker if they are located over the movie screen, I'd assume this is normal, but how could i fix it? (it also flickers while dragging windows across the movie screen.)

"Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

You have 2 monitors.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
(Aspire 55s) 2 is attached to Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller"

Everything other then the flickering over movies and the snapping works perfectly. Thanks stardock

edit:: also i'd like to point out that transparency of window boarders on the second moniter, while over a movie window is rendered black, and does not flicker.

Please post ALL the system info. It might help.

I strongly doubt it would, Stardock central reports everything is upto date, I only posted that much so the videocards info would be displayed. i'm rather sure that flickering over movies is something to do with the directdraw method of the movies being played, and windows snapping is probably something to do with the differences in the way windows are drawn with windowblinds in general, as opposed to the subwindows which dont get theme'd with transparent boarders and still snap.

Can you save time and just say it's a crack? Or post the sysinfo.

Please post ALL your system info. The developers are the only ones who can say what's useful and what isn't

Also, if you could let us know which account you registered with and used to purchase Windowblinds we might be able to assist you further.

and LOL crack? as far as I know there arent any working cracks, atleast ones that work and properly display themes. and, if you've read my post, themes work fine, there are certain things that are issues with program compatabilty and mixed hardware that i'm having problems with. Have fun being better then everyone else online. I hope you can see the clear sarcasm. :]

I apologize if you mistook my reply for anything other than a sincere attempt to gather information to help you with the issue that you're facing. Information on the hardware you are running (especially graphics and memory related) are very important when troubleshooting WindowBlinds issues. When users purchase stardock software an account is created. This allows our customers to log into these forums and also assists our support staff as we can gather details on the software purchased.

Please know that you're welcome to return here at any time for help.

Andrew is right, we need all the information from the System information page.  Just because SDC says everything is updated, does not always mean it is.

We do not even know what version you are using.

Several times it has been noticed that some files were not the ones that should be - and I don't mean cracks.

There have been a few that glitched on update and those users had issues even though themes worked fine.

Once they got properly updated, their issues disappeared.
