Vista compability?

I'm still using 1.65(e) and 2.0 looks really nice, but it's kinda hard to tell from the 30 day trial that doesn't let you import skins, my current setup is quite minimalistic, a bar ontop with a set of drop down menus ranging from a list of my games, apps, systray, "my computer" and buttons to show the command promt and a drop down with logout/reboot/shutdown/unload objectbar etc, I also have a drop down with all my movies/series, it basically opens the folders in a popup, good for fast navigation, I didn't see this in any of the 2.0 trial skins... Still in there?

My questions are: Will 2.0 be compadible with vista? If it isn't will there be a free upgrade to a vista compadible version? I dont feel like buying 2.0 for XP if I end up having to buy it again, or even worse that it doesn't work at all.

Does 2.0 support all that I mentioned, and can you add HDD/RAM/CPU statistics to that "my computer" drop down?

Does 2.0 support multiple monitors? 1.65 doesn't.

Does 2.0 support 1.65 skins? (to ease the transision) the trial just gives me the cold hand when I try.

Does 2.0 sucessfully supress the windows taskbar? Everytime an application wants my attention the taskbar is back again...

Does 2.0 support removable drives better? 1.65 doesn't have support for updating the icon/name of an item when you change disc/usb stick/ipod etc.

Does 2.0 still support "menu"?

Does 2.0 still mess up photoshop? with 1.65(e) I have to press an empty part of objectbar after switching tool for it to become active, I switch alot between the marque brush moving and vector tools, becomes old quite quickly, and does Objectbar 2.0 work better with photoshops menu? 1.65(e) technically worked, but all menu items had no text, so if you wanted to use it you had to learn the places of eatch menu item by heart.

Does 2.0 still interfere with games? I have a ontop non-autohide bar in 1.65(e) and it blinks through some games, the clock especially with it's second count, anoying to close objectbar eatch time I want to play some of my games, if it still do interfere is there a feature that closes/hides objectbar and opens the game when you press a certain shortcut? and then shows objectbar again when the game is ended?

Does 2.0 have a working system to controll itunes? 1.65 can controll wmp and winamp np, but not itunes.

Does 2.0 have support for internet usage statistics? (up/down Kb/s)

Does any of the stuff I've listed require additional parts of Object Desktop?

Sorry for the lenght of this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes,

Anything that DX can do, can be added as a widget into OD.
and DX does have a FREE version WWW Link

The extent of Vista function/compatibility is solely reliant on there eventually actually being a Vista release.

The OS is NOT released [final], ergo what can and cannot 'work' cannot be defined with certainty.

You make...they break...you remake...et al, ad nauseum....
