Strange extra login window

Like windows User Logon

Ok, I have no idea if anyone else has this happen but ever since last night the wincustomize browser pops up a Windows Network connect window saying: Connecting to skins2.wincustomize.com asking for my user name and password. when I enter it nothing happens after the 3rd try the preview image is simply not shown. any ideas?

are you on dial up or always on?
do you have the WC browser set as default browser?
do you keep logged on in WC browser?

If you open IE and check 'connections' does it "Dial whenever a network connection is not present"?

I got nothing and *bump* was sounding lame.

Sounds to me like skins2.wincustomize.com, which is one of several servers that host WinCustomize screenshots, was accidentally (or maybe intentionally) password protected for a period of time. It appears to be back to normal now though.

NOT YET, Mike! My Nautical IP both reg and gray and as a matter of fact, all of my icons are still requiring to login under that same "skins2.wincustomize.com" address. This has been going on for a couple of days now, and a couple of people have commented that they have had trouble downloading the packs. I've sent two emails to Jafo and have gotten no response yet. He usually answers promptly. I'm wondering if he's on vacation!?

That's because he doesn't exist....he's a virtual Mod.....  


It's a sever problem.....will be fixed after the weekend beer is gone

Our application that syncs servers was failing to propogate the permissions properly.  I'm currently resetting the permissions so all should be well shortly.
