Windowblinds causes iTunes to 'stutter'

I'm not sure if this has been posted about before and if it has been I appologize for the double post.

I am currently playing EQ2 and like to listen to MP3s while playing. I'm using iTunes to listen to music and have had no problems with iTunes what so ever. I bought and installed Windowblinds to customize my desktop to fit me a little more and notice that when I play EQ2 and try to listen to iTunes that the music almost acts as if it's skipping or stuttering. Just to test this out, I uninstalled Windowblinds and sure enough, no more problems. I'm curious to know if anyone else has ran into this problem and if there is a way to fix this.

Current computer specs
Windows XP sp2 fully updated
2 gigs of ram
3.0 pentium d processor
soundblaster audigy 2 gamer fully updated

I know it's not my system that's having the problems and hope there is a work around or something I can do to once gain enjoy music while playing EQ2 and having my awesome new desktop. Thanks in advance

I use iTunes and WindowBlinds without any problem. Could you post your System Information from the WindowBlinds Configuration screen.

I'm not having any issues playing iTunes with windowblinds when browsing the net or just looking at my desktop, it's when I'm playing EQ2 and running iTunes in the background when I am having this issue. Here is the info requested but please take into consideration that this happens when I'm doing what stated above. Thank you for your time.

Your dates for WindowBlinds are quite old. Try downloading Stardock Central and updating WindowBlinds and see if that resolves your problem.

Hhmm...I've noticed Itunes "stuttering" alot lately...less so w/ Itunes 7, but still alot...never considered WB to be causing it. Might have to play around and see!?!

not exactly sure how the dates for my windowblinds could be old seeing that I just downloaded it not more than four days ago... I updated and only ended up getting it to update to a beta version. iTunes still 'stutters' when being played in the background while playing EQ2. I once again uninstalled WB and am now 100% sure that it is causing the problem, like it's taking a lot of resources or something. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if this issue gets fixed.

a lot of us consider them old, because we keep updating with betas

seeing that I just downloaded it not more than four days ago...

a couple of your dates and times don't match 5.01.006

The only way to eliminate this issue is to do the per applicaion thing and totally exclude it from skinning, even though this program does it s own skinning.

Try it!

Well, I went ahead and excluded all the .exe's I could find that might be causing the issue. I excluded iTunes.exe, iTunehelper.exe and all Everquest.exe's I could find and I'm still getting the problem. Thanks for the idea though, best one I've had given to me yet.

Try going into Windows Task Manager and set the priority to High and see if that fixes the stuttering.
