IconX problem with Firefox

When I open my Firefox browser and then minimize it, my IconX settings have disappeared and my icons revert to Windows default even though IconX is still running. I have to open the configuration window to get IconX settings to re appear. It does this continuously. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Thanks

I just tried it - no problems - even switched the IconX setting around.

What version of IconX?
What's your graphics card and driver version?

Running IconX V 1.11.008 and using nVidia GE Force 6600GT graphics card, problem persists!

Does anybody from Stardock actually monitor these forums? The support from Stardock is appalling! I've spent my money on their software and now that they've got it, they don't want to help. Why doesn't that surprise me? I've emailed my problem to their support address 5 days ago and typically have heard nothing! I should have just downloaded their programs through peer to peer instead of wasting my hard earned money on their crap software.

They do when they can depending on priorties.

Bear in mind, even though it's labeled as 'Stardock Support' it's still basically a user based support group. People like me (unless a smart one comes along).

Have you tried clearing the IconX cache?

Corky_O has a tutorial on finding and clear the caches if needed - here's a link to one of his Object Dock Tutorials - should be a link to the Clearing the Cache 101 on the right side of the page {I don't have acces to WC at work and this one was all I could find}

Which version of Firefox?

Any extensions installed in Firefox? How about themes?

BTW, these forums are not for "official support". Of course I just scanned through the Stardock website and they don't have ANY official support path.

That the bottom of every Stardock.com page is a link called support that takes you to https://www.stardock.com/support.

Doesn't get more official than that.

Did you get a auto reply? If not then your mail was likely blocked. You can go to https://www.stardock.helpserve.com to check on any cases you created or if none are there, create one withough going through the email channel.

That would be stealing and you're better than that, right? And if it's crappy, why would you want to use it anyway?

Lastly, you can find out about the refund policy here if you still can't get satisfaction.

Doh! I just expected to find it in the top menus. Never even noticed it down there.

Zubaz, the reason I bought their software is because the trial version I was using previously worked perfectly, and yes, I did get an auto reply to my email but still have heard nothing!

SimpleSimon, the version of Firefox I am using is 1.5.0.4 and the theme is Noia 2.0(Extreme). I unloaded the theme but problem persists.

Birchur, I'll try cleaning the Icon X cache and see how I go.

Thank you all for your help.

I'm using 1.5.0.7

since FF skins it's own way, sometimes themes/extensions/or the bookmark toolbar messes with some SD apps

Cleaning the IconX cache seemed to do the trick!

Thanks all.
