Quicken icons don't display

For some reason I can't get ObjectDock to display my Quicken icon. The icon appears on my desktop but when I try to see it in ObjectDock I get a generic file icon. What's going on and how do I fix it?

If you are dragging them from desktop to dock that may be causing the icon change as the desktop icon is already a shortcut.
Browse to your Quicken folder and drag the .exe to dock, that should use the default Quicken icons.

Nope. Doesn't work. Still get a generic icon.

Am having the same problem...Internet Explorer & Photoshop show wrong icons. Tried changing dock item properties, no luck. Browsed to exe file, can see icon...but dock won't display it.

Also noticed sometimes it puts shortcut arrow on dock icon, but isn't consistent.

I could be wrong, but I think for ObjectDock to display icons correctly, you need to have the icon (.ico or .png) file saved in the ObjectDock\Images folder. Once it's there, right-click the shortcut on your dock, select "Dock Entry Properties" then hit the "Change Image" button. From there, just browse to the image you want to use.

Also, you can go HERE to get custom icons, docks, themes, etc. I've gotten 99% of my icons from that search.

Hope this helps!

I've noticed ODock icon will reflect an icon package used with Icon Packager.

If you have it you might try the rebuild option.

If you don't have it, do you have any other icon manager that might be interfering?

Nope, no icon packager or anything else.

It's really frustrating to have such inconsistency...it's worked fine before (I installed a new hard drive and am re-installing everything to a nice, clean install).
