Desktop Icon Spacing

Hello, i've got a problem with the freeware version of Object desktop from alienware.com, called AlienGUIse. After i used it some time and tried the four different themes i wanted to go back to my classic windows xp desktop which it did more or less. The thing is, that the size of the grid on which the desktop icons orient is much smaller that the windows standart, which eventually leads to the fact, that i can barely the the names of the icons. So, could anyone tell me which of the programms makes these changes and how i can revert them other than through the standart restore defaults button? thx for the help allready

right click desktop, properties, appearance tab, advanced, use the drop down under 'item' for icon spacing (horizontal) and (vertical) and set it how you want

ObjectDesktop is a Stardock product and not from Alienware and not "freeware".

Off course, what i meant was that the software called "AlienGUIse" from alienware.com is kind of a lite version of the original Object desktop from stardock.

the other thing:

right click desktop, properties, appearance tab, advanced, use the drop down under 'item' for icon spacing (horizontal) and (vertical) and set it how you want

thx for the info so far, i found it and asked someone for his original values, but somehow, changing the values doesn't change anything about the icon spacing neither on my desktop, nor on a friend's machine who has got the same problem, does object desktop somehow overwrite the values?

Not the Stardock version I'm using.

once you set the numbers, right click and uncheck align to grid, then refresh, then recheck align to grid

The AlienGuise uses a licensed Theme Manager OEM - once a company licenses and distributes it become a 3rd party application -since they are the ones who decides what changes how- if you can't get it worked out here, you might ask AlienWare or The Skins Factory (the guys who did AlienGuise)

original Object desktop

...you sure you don't mean "Theme Manager"?

TSF did make their own version of theme manager to apply their suite of skins/icons/themes for AlienGuise, though it never did anything bad to my rig...
