Something's broken

I rebooted and all of the sudden all of my skins "couldn't load bitmap" so they were grey boxes, so I reinstall windowblinds, and now whenever I load a skin, it appears fine in the preview, but when I load it, it's default grey windows taskbar, titlebars, et cetera

Open WB configuration, click system information on the left, copy the page that shows and paste all the info here.

unless it's the trial and the time ran out. reinstalling won't help it work again.

Bichur is indicating that your file dates don't add up to a current production build and that you may have gotten this version though means other than purchase from Stardock.

You would be well off (if you are not a lieing, stealing, pirate) to install Stardock Central and update from there

If you are not a thief, and need the URL for SDC . . let us know.

Your dates are quite old and should be updated from Stardock Central.

SDC Link

You can try installing the latest release version to see if that resolves your issue or you may wish to install the latest beta by putting a check mark in "Show pre-release

I've been using windowblinds a long time through legal means, but I've never used Stardock central, so I'll go ahead and update with that and let y'all know if it fixes the problem... it was working fine one moment, then I rebooted, and it was all broken

Is the updated information after I updated it, and now everything works again, thanks for the help and pointing me toward SDC

What's the purpose of cracking a 20 dollar program? There's no crack, I've got a legal account and version of the software

Edit: As far as I can tell your using the 5.0 release but not the most current beta.

Well, I updated with the current file from the DL, and I'm gonna update with SDC when I've got the time to reboot again, but I can't right now

A couple of your files do not match the current 'offical' release version 5.01.006 released in June 2006.

Stardock Central should sort it for you.

I would suggest trying the official release first, and then the newer beta release if you have any graphic driver issues.

just in case, it may be to your benefit to use the auto archive function. makes for much easier rollback when trying the betas.
plus the dates you posted don't quite match the release prior to june either.

yes, I know.

More fun to have them do tricks first. {I am a Troll}

I've got a legal copy of Windowblinds, I don't know of any way I can prove it, but then, I don't really need to, do I? I've got access to SDC, and updates, and whatever else, and a working version of windowblinds for a good while

I don't need further assistance, updating my Windowblinds with the current file acquired legally from the stardock downloads site fixed my problem, as I stated several posts above

Fuzzy Logic: Sometimes the site shows user level as 1 due to a server bug.

You know, I'm satsified knowing that I am a paying customer, I've got a receipt, a legal serial number, Stardock Central, and all of that... so you can go on thinking what you want, and if there are ever any legal problems, they will be promptly resolved when it is discovered that yes, I paid for this software, and I am not pirating it

Gotta admit it though . . there are some of the nicest flamers anywhere on the 'net here.
