Some Questions on 1.3

I've tried to search and see if anyone else is having this problem, but I couldn't find anything.

Ever since I started using 1.3 with the betas and still now, my small total view screen in the bottom right corner has been acting weird.

Mostly the box outlining where I am looking starts replicating itself all over the screen when I move. That is, it doesn't refresh but leaves its image until finally the entire screen is covered.

So this morning I went and downloaded the 41mb file and reinstalled. It was fine for a while, then the small screen went Red!

Any ideas, help? I have a new Dell XPS M1210 with NVidia GeForce Go 7400 256mb. I downloaded the latest drivers, 8.4.6.9, 5/1/2006.

This sounds new. Are you sure it wasn't just Drengin influence? Post a screenshot if you can.

The problem with the view-box not erasing from the minimap has been reported before, but the devs haven't been able to reproduce it and figure out the cause.

I have already told them that if the game is restricted to a single cpu core the problem will not happen.
And I was told by Cari that the devs don't have dual-core machines to work with.
So, of course they can not recreate the problem. It has to do, it seems, with multi-cpu machines, which they do not have.

Is there a logic issue I am missing, or that Stardock is missing?

OK, that must be it since I have a dual core.

I've started a new game and it hasn't occured.
