Invalid Race config

When playing metaverse games with the latest beta (1.3 beta 3X) an error dialog pops up when flagging speed increase in the abilities screen.

The dialog warns the score on the metaverse will invalid.

Is this intentional to stop people from using speed increase or bug that will be fixed?

Cari added it to warn people when they choose abilities that will put them past the amount they should have and cause a cheat flag. Have you reset the races since the last build, or are you working from a pre-modified race?

I did reset everything (used the clear button) and if i do not select the increase in speed it is fine.
As soon as i flag either +1 or +2 it will give me the message.

I am using the standard files so nothing has been modded.

Did a reinstall from scratch and will check later if this has solved the issue with invalid race config dialog when the speed increase is flagged.

Ok, reinstall from scratch did not solve this.

Can someone from Stardock pls explain if this is intended or not.

Tks

Did you check in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 to make sure there are no .raceconfig files there, then try it?

Yep, deleted all the .raceconfig files in there and issue still present.

Can you try this :

1. start new metaverse game (i tried humans myself)
2. free up 8 points by deselecting some other abilities
3. select speed increase (+2)
4. continue to the next screen.

This should give you the dialog that the raceconfig file is not ok.

There seems to be some issue where you get that message no matter what you pick, if you've deselected two or three of the natural abilities to get points back. I'll relay this to Cari tomorrow.
