Windows Blind not applying skin.

did you uninstall the trial and reboot first?

did you install normal stand a lone via normal browser or via Stardock Central?

yes i did.

I installed the stand alone via firefox not using stardock central.

Some of your dates/times look off.

uninstall, reboot.

Get Stardock Central - register WB in it (option in the menu or click down on the bottom right corner) = then use SDC to download and install.

there more benefits to SDC than just downloading/installing
it also archives, has irc, keeps track of all the products you purchased and lets you know if there is an update, and browses, does a skin list if you're a WC subscriber, etc

I followed the steps you gave me and it didnt help me, but now when i load windows blinds it says "can not read bitmaps"

so now i have more problems on my hand, overall this is not very cool, iv been working on this for about 2 hours now, and cannot find a fix.

I asked about previously running a cracked version because the dates/times you posted don't match WB 5.01.

I asked about StyleXP because other posters had issues since StyleXP hacks in & changes stuff.

There seem to be a lot of requests the last week from those whose ID does not show as current customer or member with similiar problems. All claim to have legal versions...........but I'm thinking there's a new crack out that doesn't do things like animations and explorer icons.....I could be wrong, but it seems like it's a fairly recent phenom, kinda like just after the new year when the last bunch of crack users showed up on the boards.

i feel for the poor guy,

i have the same problem. paid for this thing, downloaded it all through stardock Central and suites don't load right or lock up my comp and wallpapers never show up in any of the programs (not in theme manager, not in WB and not in my diplay settings.

all i've managed to get for $50 is a different color task bar and one new wallpaper...

and i'm running a P Dual Core with a Gig of ram, so it's not my comp...

anybody gonna be able to fix this?

Were you using the WindowBlinds trial before purchasing the full version? If so, did you un-install the trial before installing the full version. Please post your System Information from the WindowBlinds Configuraton screen which will help to determine where to proceed from.

I think some of you don't understand how unstable version 5 (all) can be. Sometimes I can load a skin three different times and get various different portions skinned and unskinned and big blotches of pink. I have tried every version since 5 was released I think and all cause problems in not painting the full skin properly. My latest problem is with Windows media player 11 skin. I do a lot of skin editing and I edited this one and it was looking good for two weeks. Suddenly the taskbar no longer is modded, it's just a flat black. No matter what I try, that one taskbar will not skin.
I am fairly able to deal with little quirks in programs and have been around for a while. I have a very adequite machine with a 3.4 gig processor and 1 gig of ram.

I do hope someone can get this program to be a little more stable and not worry so much about new bells and whistles. I may go back to ver 4. I hope they hang onto it as an option.
