Changing Skins..checked forum posts still stuck

Hi all,

Sorry for a noob first post. Just reinstalled Object Desktop and been playing with some themes. Installed the excellant My DA suite, which has object dock elements in it. But its not skinning.

I read the posts about renaming .zip files and .docktheme etc but doesnt seem to apply. I have the folder in there with all the .png icons for the skin (not background) but there isnt any .ini file? Download the dock separeatly and same deal.

Any ideas please or am I missing something daft!?

If you are using the free Object Dock it doesn't display tabbed docks. Is the MyDA dock a tabbed one?

I'm confused with this statement because ObjectDock Plus (or free version) does not come with the ObjectDesktop subscription. You posted under ObjectDock, so I'm inclined to believe you have OD Plus installed. If not, you need that program which can be found here... ObjectDock Plus

Now, concerning the My DA WindowBlind, the SS shows a dock with the My DA dock icons...the actual dock could be any dock. The Screenshots dock is completely transparent. So if you have ObjectDock, create any Zoomer Dock, then put your shorcuts on that dock, right-click and select 'Dock Entry Properties' to change the docks image. Find the folder with the My DA dock icons (PNG's) and select the one you want. Now to make the dock transparent, just open Dock Settings > then select the Appearance Tab > then look for the Transparent/Opaque scroll bar. Voila!...

Thanks for the the comments guys, will check that now.

When i said I had reinstalled i used to use a old version of Object Desktop on another machine. Meant I had installed and renewed my subs and then also d/l'd the free version of ObjectDocks, and dont think My DA is a tabbed ver.

Again, that tut site doesn't mention anything about the changing skin, , i still don't get it...Like i downloaded the Eminence theme in Zip file, and i don't know what to do next , i have object dock plus version 1.30

Edit: I know how to change the dock theme, but how about the tabdock ???
