Cursor sometimes under and sometimes over a frame or roll down panel from menu

I am totally new to this software and am not even sure if I should post in this forum or the CursorXP forum. I have downloaded the software and some themes and cursors that I liked. They installed without a problem and I am really quite happy, but sometimes my cursor appears to go under a frame and in other applications it appears to go over the frame. The buttons work fine, but if it is one of the frames that the cursor goes under then I have to line up the cursor with a bit of guess work as to when it is actually over (under in this case) the button I want to click. The same thing happens with some of the roll-down panels from menu items. It is consistent--I don't mean to say that the over/under business is random-- For a given theme and application it is consistent in terms of what it goes over and what it goes under. Any ideas where to look to fix this problem? .... Also any suggestions why I can't get the enter key to give me a line return in this forum so I can create a new paragraph? Thanks!!

Hey I have been having this same problem. For me, it is just Windows XP windows where my cursor ends up under the outer frame, when per-pixel borders are turned on.

You can change the setting under System Info to say "never use per-pixel borders" but then you might as well be using WB4.x, so I'd like to see this fixed in a dot release of WB5.

Perhaps a note to stardock support referring to this forum post is in order....

The problem is with Windows, not with any SD product.

Also any suggestions why I can't get the enter key to give me a line return in this forum so I can create a new paragraph?

I thought that bug was gone. Maybe it's your browser? {Ctrl]-M should work to create a line break.

I found several posts about this over at WinCustomize which made it clear that it was a known problem with transparent themes and Cursor XP, and that Windows doesn't seem to be in any rush to do anything about it.

And thanks for the suggestion on the Ctrl-M. It seems to be working OK today with Firefox. Yesterday I was trying to post thru the Stardock Central Software.
