Problems installing Enhanced File Dialog

I keep trying to install enhanced file dialog, but every time it gets stuck, constantly trying to download and extract enhdllginit.dll(I could only read the name of this file by taking a screenshot of SDC spazzing on me, it would go too fast otherwise).

So every time when trying to install I need to hit cancel after this happens.

On a somewhat related matter...I get errors in all my programs that use the standard File Dialog(yes...its somewhat of a pain). I'm not sure if this is caused by Enhanced File Dialog, or if its one of the reasons its not installing correctly. Hopefully its because of the Enhanced File Dialog, because otherwise I have no idea what is causing it :\.

If anyone could help, that would be great .

reindeer057: I would suggest changing your download server:

Tools->Settings and under the internet section. Click the 'Refresh XML Data' button and then change the download server under the dropdown listbox.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately that didn't fix it for me. I did both the Refresh XML Data and changed it from download server 1 - 2(before I refreshed the current server was labeled Orange...I think, but that name doesn't show up now)

I did all that. Didn't work :\

When I run the bat it says clearing cache and finds the location of the dll its getting stuck on in temp/sdcentral/base

then it says Access is Denied(I am an administer on this computer...)

reindeer057: Are you updating an existing installation or installing from scratch? If you're updating an existing installation, I would highly suggest uninstalling the currently installed version and installing from scratch.

You should be able to clear out your temp directory (even manually). Go to Start->Run and type
"%userprofile%\local settings\temp"

Delete everything in that folder.

Run this file:
http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/stardock_access.bat

Once done, do the same as before with
"%programfiles%\stardock\sdcentral\temp"

It works now, thanks. (So sorry for not saying anything sooner...my cable was out for a while) Thanks a lot for the help.
