: How do you go about opening the windows that you said open unskinned? I'm not convinced this is related to the MSN Search Toolbar, as I'm unable to reproduce the problem here:

Desktop Search Screenshot

What version are your video drivers?

If you launch a window using Windows+E (or similar) is this window unskinned?

Oddly enough it semed to resolve its self .. but when ever i clicked on an icon that would open a window like IE, the top bar would be unskinned til i either minimised or clicked in the top bar area...then the skin would appear.. I have been useing the latest drivers for ATI.( 8.263) but the problem started right after i installed MS {desktop} search bar. so i was thinking it could have been the issue ...i uninstalled it and still had no luck... but today it seems to be working fine...

thanks Mike for the reply, il let you know if the problem returns..
