I am new.

But this advice can't hurt anything.

First:

Try using Task Manager (cntrl-alt-delete) to shut down Desktop X.

That should restore everything.

Then try to open Desktop X Builder from the programs folder.

Uncheck the Hide Icons box in the second tab.

Hit Apply and OK, then Unload Builder.

Try again.

Then wait for the Pros because my newbie idea Failed Miserably!!

Good Luck.

Peace.

try using task manager and kill desktopx.

if you still dont see anything, kill the explorer process (if its running), and then go to file --> new task (run) and type explorer.exe

now you *should* be able to see your desktop... and you can either uninstall desktopx or go in and modify settings

hope this helps
