Well same as every body else i am tired of the 10,000 vista themes ,aka mods and rip's  But i stumbled upon a skin as good as Kol's   and it works flawlessly and the button's on the start menu actually are the right size[log off and shutdown]and the start menu it self is not like the 10,000 other ones   So if you liked Kol's vista check this one out at DA it's called AeroGlass by Ironjer it's under windows utilities-window blinds XP

yes i know the link is not working sorry But i already have the skin i was just trying to send poeple there to check it out because the quality of the skin is as good as Kol's

I cant believe this guy even says its a " mod " and names all the people he took stuff from. He thinks as long as he says their names its ok ? Whats DA's policy on this stuff ? You dont need written permission ?

The most likely reason was what was likely to show up in a 'search'.  Kol's was easy to find and thus attract Microsoft's attention...

DA's policy against rips is almost non-existant. their windowblinds gallery is absolute garbage these days. it really falls into the lap of the skins and themes gallery director...who you'd think would be paying much closer attention with all of these vista rips. absolutely nothing will happen untill you hit the "submit deviation as policy violation" link...even then it's a crap shoot. what's even funnier is how the "rip users" (i won't call them artists) defend themselves after being called out. not a single one of them has ever done the right thing and either:

a) not submitted it in the first place
or
b) deleted it after being caught (some don't know the policy or some do but ignore it...seems to be common sense to me)

100 percent of the time they have a lame excuse as to why they should be allowed to post it and 100 percent of the time they are wrong.

what is with these people and the vista rips anyway?? seriously...it has to be the most "poser" thing you could do. why not just slap a lexus grille on your toyota and tell people it's a lexus? LAME LAME LAME LAME LAME

I know this skin shouldn't have been made the way it was made, but it does look nice :UNSURE:. I'll download it.

Also, I heard Kol_s vista was pulled because it used official images right from microsofts vista beta :S. Not sure tho >_>.

I also downloaded it but havent opened it and installed it. I just have a thing about using ripped work. Its like knowing a gift you recieved was bought with stolen money - so everytime I look at it - thats all I'm reminded of...I know - sounds a bit hokey but stealing is stealing. Tons more windowblinds to use that wont make me feel im condoning bad behavior.

I agree Fairyy... I delete anything that I download and later find out to be a rip.  It's just the principle.

I ended up deleting the zip unopened..didnt want to be enticed ..
