If your download is a 'zip'...rename that suffix to 'wsz' and double click.

A Winamp 'skin' is simply a renamed zip archive...

right click on the file, choose rename, change the .zip part to .wsz

ignore the warning

right click the picture(s) - choose "properties".

Bravo Bichur...

I think that was one of the first problems I encountered a few years back. You could tell me to rename that zip 10000 times...but show me in a picture- that I can grasp.

Yep. I noticed in the poster's pic it looks like it was renamed it to multipass.wsz.zip

maybe it's a WinRar thing? I don't have WinRar.

If the poster does not have Windows explorer set to show extentions . . they can rename until the cows come home and it will always end in zip.

Lesson learned the hard way when fixing the bosses PC once.

Zubaz

are you talking about, say...

open "My Documents"
click 'tools', then 'folder options'
click the 'view' tab
scroll down and uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'?  I'm technically challenged.

Here's a link explaining the process of renaming files. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/it/itaids/factsheets/mswindows/WI-001.shtml

Looks like another wasted effort.

If renaming is a problem you can just unzip the contents into C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins. Right click on winamp - skins- choose your skin. It should still accept it. Good luck

If renaming is a problem you can just unzip the contents into C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins. Right click on winamp - skins- choose your skin

Or you can copy the zip into that \winamp\skins folder and choose.

Unzipping isn't 'needed'...
