Hur, hur, hur...it's me again. I was just wondering if anyone else is having the no progress bar blinkie thingie on their boot up. I have whined about this before and unfortunately nothing seems to work so I'm just really hoping I'm not the only schmuck with this problem.

vidstub.sys BSOD here as well. I need to boot into safe mode, re-run bootskin and set it to the default windows/microsoft 'skin' to avoid the BSOD.

What info is needed to get developers to produce a functioning bootskin? Is the issue nVidia specific?

Bootskin is not supported because it's a PIA to support. I would wait a while to see if Stardock decides to do something similar for Vista.

Otherwise, if the three versions available don't work, don't use it until something changes. Sorry.

BS+ is stable here, I don't see why it isn't released.

Has anyone explored the conflict in vidstub.sys? Or is the issue specifically a write block in the registry? If it's a block, which of the myriad update patches is it that kills vidstub.sys?

Lunchmeat: Sorry I can't help. You can try to email support@stardock.com and maybe someone will have some free time to help. But again, it's unsupported and I imagine most sights would be set on a Vista version.
