ive gotta a few things to learn

another this is

so i downloaded bootskin ,, and a bootskin and i extracted the bootskin that i liked...... how do i import this extracted bootkin

in other words basically how do i make a downloaded bootskin your actuall bootskin?

Do you have teh program Bootskin? Install that. https://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/
Double click on the *.bootskin file.
Select it in Bootskin.
Hope that your PC restarts normally.

Bootskins and BIOS sometimes don't mix. It's unsupported by Stardock for a reason.

yep i have the bootskin progran


then i run it and it just has the deafault bootsins so i go to import bootskin, and i can't import the ones that ive downloaded?

how do ya do it

Are the bootskins you downloaded *.zip files or *.bootskin files?

If *.zip, rename to *.bootskin. Try import again.

well how exactly did you do it

i go

file, import from file, click on beach2 , then i gotta click program files,stardock, win customize, bootskin, skins, beach2, then there is nothing in the page ?

Why are you going "program files,stardock, win customize, bootskin, skins, beach2"?

It should be File | Import [browse to wherever you saved beach2.bootskin}, select the bootskin and click OK.

You should be back to the Bootskin app. Select the Beach2 image and click apply.

Close bootskin app and reboot.

ok i downloaded this one

windows passion is what it's called

i extracted everything copied and pasted into a folder on the desktop

when i go to import it takes me through all those folders that i previously said (comment 7) , then when i get to the folder it was actually saved it in, nuthing appears in the folder?

exideath; if they are downloading as a .bootskin, no need to import, download to a folder, I use My Videos for downloads, open folder, doulbe click the .bootskin, it will self install and open bootskin config.

im not on a subscription for anything,, i just use all of the free things, maybe thats the problem??
