Difficulty and Intelligence mod (want)

I would like a mod that:

1) When you change the difficulty it changes how the AI get bonus's, harder difficulty more bonus they get.

2) When you change their intelligence it changes how they react to the player and other AI's.

Both able to move independantly of each other.


So I basically want to have a normal game, where they are on an equal level with me, no bonus's besides their standard racial ones, their ships have to have the requirements to be able to do what they need to do... but I want to set it on intelligent so that if they see me park a transport IN their sphere if influence they know that somethings amiss.


And if its too much trouble, I would like I an option that says "get your ships out of my sphere of influence or else" option in the diplomacy window.

AFAIK these things are coded in the game itself and cant be modded.

The setting Intelligent already does what you want though (all AI algorithms unlocked, no special bonuses or penalties).

Setting it on intelligence throws the game into Challanging setting and I cant fricken win one of those damn games, ever. I make a troop transport and I can be 9 sectors away and they declare war, i'm just going to uninstall.

Actually all AI on intelligent changes the game to "tough" setting. Bright intelligence is the challenging setting. The settings you describe are simply a way to change all the ai difficulties at the same time, instead of doing them each individually. At challenging the ai doesn't have all it's marbles, and I believe they have a slight economic penalty. At normal the same is true only more so. Personally I think they should have named the current "tough" setting as normal. No bonus for the ai, and they play their best.

I'm not sure how much the ai's difficulty ramps up between normal and challenging, but they get a few more algorithms unlocked and don't get quite as harsh an economic penalty, so the ramp might be steeper than I might have thought before since they should now have a better economy AND are a bit smarter about it too. I have a similar problem between crippling and masochistic. At crippling with no tech trading I have a good time stomping the ai. While at masochistic, I can win sometimes if I get lucky, or turn tech trading back on, but then it gets too easy again....but that's because of the huge difference between a 25% bonus and a 100% bonus between those 2 settings.
