What's that coloured line?

Sorry for the noob questions but I'm a long time FPS player and this is the first game of this type that I'm trying to play. I'm beginning to see that it was like taking on Falcon 4.0 as my first flight sim. There seems to be a coloured line on the main map. Can someone tell me what that is and how to get rid of it as it's annoying.

IT's your cultural boundry. Anything on your side is under your cultural influence, anyhting ont he other side is either neutral, or under foreign influence.

It can be sooo many different things. You should take a screen shot and explain using that what line your talking about. Or be alittle more descriptave of what you mean.

Read the manual or watch the tutorials in the game. Those should answer most questions you have. As for the "coloured lines on the main map", i find them very nice and quite appealing.

try going to options and togelling off autopilot routes and trade routes.

It corresponds to the limit of ownership on the minimap so I think it must be the limit of my influence or something like that. Is this line permanently displayed on the main map or can it be turned off. I notice this line disappears into the fog of war so does that mean that my influence actually covers areas in the fog of war?
