Potential Crash Every Turn Bug

This is a very nasty bug, but thankfully I may have found a workaround, of sorts. The first effect of the bug is that I see the other players ships scrolling through the Control Panel, while the game is displaying some other menu for me to use. If, and only if, I am fast enough in hitting the Done or other appropriate button, the game continues as normal. If not, it crashes to the desktop. It began doing this on and off during my game, then for the last few game months it was doing this every turn. Below is the debug message I got after the last time it happened. I was just barely able to finish my last game, once I realised how to get around the bug. Stardock guys, if you need any more information, just ask ... but I would have appreciated it if you could find bugs like this during the beta phase. I thought that was what it was for. I apologise for the horrible way that that message ended up. I don't know what happened to the formatting. Just thought I should add something. You guys might look at my computer's specs and say, geez, this guy's computer is crap. Yes it is ... but I played V1.11 for a month, and it crashed just once. I have only had problems with V1.2.

NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

this little bastard can have all sorts of problem with GC II

Windows ME and a Geforce 2 MX with 3 year old drivers. 4 years for the audio drivers.

And you expect the game to run correctly?

You should, at the very least, update your drivers.

I expected V1.2 to run perfectly, or close to it, because under V1.11 it DID run perfectly. The game is doing something during what is supposed to be my turn, that it did not do before, and can crash the game if I don't stop it. I can avoid this bug, or at least the crash element of it, by my actions in the game. I can only conclude that it is due to some new element in V1.2. If I uninstall and reload V1.11, I am sure it will run fine, as it did before. I would prefer not to have to do that.

1.2 may not have installed correctly. It might be best to go back and reinstall it.

I'm not ripping on your card because I have a GeForce 2 also, and I don't even think it has that MMX thing, but since I saw how good the ships look on my friend's computer I've decided to just wait until I get a new one to play the game some more. My ships only display in solid colors and his have all this cool lighting and texture and stuff.
