Small Question - upgrading ships in fleet?

I was just wondering if it's possible to upgrade ships that are in a fleet? At the moment I find I have to pull the ships I want to upgrade out of the fleet, moving them each to their own individual tiles, and then upgrade each of them manually (note: I don't want to upgrade every single such ship in my empire, just these ones).

Also, now that I remember. If I have two ships on the same time, I have to move them to their own tiles in order to upgrade them. I can't find any way to upgrade them while they're in that fleet management menu (where you can create fleets). Is there any way around this, or just how it is?

As Tuff as it seems, you are CORRECT ...
You really must UPGRADE ships ...
ONE at a time ....
It may seem dumb, BUT, I like the mico-mange thing in this case ...

You can select to uprade all the ships in that class...if you can afford it all in one turn. This upgrades ships in fleets and in orbit.

That is all.

Or if you have a ship of the same class somewhere else, upgrade it and click the lil button under the ship picture (upgrade all ships of this class) and it will upgrade all the ships of that type, like it says, even the ones in fleets. Can take time depending on where they are, and can also cost a pretty penny. Upgraded one of mine after about a game year at war. Cost me almost 80,000 BC to do, but now my fleets are pounding away on the Drengin again

Hey -- you guys are all wrong as of v 1.2, at least! In the Fleet Manager you can click "Details" for each ship and then click the "Upgrade" button. You don't have to defleet any more in the beta! It rocks.

Because if the ship is just an orbit defender ...
Well, who cares ???
But if I need attack fleet ships ...
I AM the one to select : weapons, defense, range ...
for EACH ship ....
This is CRITICAL to effective FLEET organization ....

fleet and class upgrade kinda working in 1.2 beta 2. Still a little buggy

Should be fixed by thursday for the final 1.2 version
