Dual Monitor Wallpaper Changer?

Separate wallpapers for each monitor

Can anyone recommend a wallpaper changer that supports separate wallpapers on dual monitors? I know Ultramon allows you to set different wallpapers for each monitor, but it's a clumsy process at best. It also has no mechanism for auto-changing at set intervals.

I don't know of any right now.  However, I will see if I can find anything.

See if this is something that might work.

Thanks for your help, Island Dog!

Unfortunately, after going through the exhaustive registration process required to download anything there, I find that it doesn't work for me. It only turns both monitors black (the background color).

Too bad, because it looked promising.

Sorry Tarkus. I will keep my eyes open for you.

Have you checked the software that comes with your video card? I know my Nvidia GeForce card gives me the ability to do that, using the nView Desktop Manager.

Video card (a VIA) is what's built into my laptop, and I don't think they make anything like that for it. I certainly can't find anything.

It was just a thought. Don't know VIA or laptops in general, so can't help.

The easiest way...
Fire up your graphics app and create one.

Photoshop can create a wallpaper changer for dual monitors?

I had no idea!

Nooooo...
But you can easily create a dual monitor wallpaper.
If both screens have say 1024x768 resolution, make the wallpaper 2048x768.
Put one wall on the left, but a different one on the right and set it as your wallpaper... tiled.

Please read the description of this thread at the top. I already have something that can assign different wallpapers to each monitor. That's not what I'm looking for.

Tarkus... have you tried the "ChangeWallpaperAuto" script for UltraMon? http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/scripts/

Works great here.

Wow, how did I miss that? Not exactly what I'm looking for, but a step in the right direction. Thanks, Koasati!

BTW, is there an easier way of running that automatically than editing the command line in the registry?

Resurrecting a very old thread but I just found Autowallpaper, which seems to do exactly what everyone was looking for. I haven't found another yet.

Hey ! Since this thread is about dualing, I was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to use both monitors, meaning to have wallpaper on both screens during boot and login ?

Know its a little late but in reply to #15 I just drop the script in the startup folder =D

I haven't found a way to affect the boot up/login under Vista the way we could under XP, sorry Tazkven. Maybe the Stardock coders know a way?

Regarding the dualie wallpaper issue, I couldn' get Autowallpaper trial to start up under Vista (even though it expressly shows it working on Vista in the screenshots). Looks like the DRM/copy protection code fails to initialize for some reason. Gotta love that, ahem.

Meanwhile, Wallpaper Master DOES work on Vista. You need to go to the options and "enable" dual monitor functionality or the initial interface can be confusing. The built in help is very useful and I was able to get my 40,000 concept art pieces randomly adorning my two screens quite nicely. It actually works, yay!

Hope this helps someone some day.
