How to decommision tech capital

I was planning to put a tech captial on my planet with 10 research centers.
But I conquered a planet (with only one research center) that already had a tech capital.
Now I can't build a tech capital.
How can I get rid of the tech capital on the other planet????

Also, is there a search function on this message board? I can't seem to find it.

The search is right below Recent Posts.
Destroying the Tech Capital has not been possible. It might be in 1.2, but I have not checked.
The same holds true for any Capital building, like the Manufacturing Capital. It is best to build them before taking over other planets just because of that.

So far no "wounder" can be destroyed, that includes all capitals.

Give the planet away to an ally, then use influencer starbases to get it back once you've built your capital.

I haven't tried it yet, but won't the "destroy colony" button do the trick? Yes, there are some drawbacks to using it, but it should work...
